
Tele-Medicine
Live Video Medical Visits
Social distancing is critical at this time to slow the spread of COVID-19 so we are now encouraging and offering Tele-Medicine appointments to our patients from the comfort of your own home! We can order tests, X-ray, and prescribe medicines all remotely.
First schedule a Tele-Medicine visit with Hearthside Medicine Family Care.
A patient portal is required for Tele-Medicine visits.
When your appointment has been scheduled you will receive an email with a link to start your appointment.
Make sure to do your previsit questionnaires if any have been assigned to you ahead of time. These are available to you in your portal. (New patients have in depth reviews so give yourself 30 minutes)
Then follow the instructions below 15 minutes before your appointment time.
1: 1st download the “ZOOM Cloud Meetings” app from the Google play store or the Apple store.

After you install the app do NOT open or start. (You enter the visit from your email link not directly from the app.)
2: Go into your email and find the email from Hearthside with the subject “Video Consult Confirmation”

Open email
Follow the link in blue.

3: Select Sign In. Then log into your Patient portal.


4: Select “appointments” (circled in red below). Please complete any questionnaires prior to proceeding to appointment just like an office visit.

5: Click video icon on right side of appointment. (See red arrow below).

6: Add name and email if not already populated and select “Join”.


If you did not already install Zoom you may do by selecting the link at the bottom of the screen.
7: Select “Zoom” to open link. (Do not use your devices web browser, Chrome, Safari, etc…)

8: Join Zoom Meeting

9: Now just wait for visit to start.

10: Once the visit starts you may need to enable your video camera, microphone and switch your speaker to speakerphone. Hit the corresponding buttons.
